12 sessions of Traditional Irish Dance + End of Semester Ceili Celebration on June 4th at the Albion.
$240 Instruction will include a variety of traditional Irish dances genres such as Group Set and Ceili dancing, Solo
Set and Sean nos dancing.
Based on the mythical, lyrical heart of the Irish peoples age old Irish Dance traditions are being carried forward in a manner that is fresh, yet faithfully steeped in the beauty of the past. Classes are intentionally kept light, but well-structured. All lessons deliver a solid foundation in timing, footwork, body positioning and performance presence. Previous dance experience is not required. A desire to learn is a must. Street or dress shoes only. Optional opportunities to participate in local community, special events, or seniors’ residences exist as time and interest allows. Individuals welcome - no partner required.
